Rhodes will welcome this season more than 600 cruise ship arrivals, marking a 10% rise compared to last season. The ships, many of them belonging to the major cruise companies of the World, will carry a total of 700.000 guests.
Uprisings in North Africa contributed to the selection of Rhodes as an alternative destination in Eastern Mediterranean, making its port one of the busiest in the area. Local authorities and businessmen who depend heavily on cruise tourism have already expressed their satisfaction about this outcome.
